Ms. Parks' 6th Grade Class

The school year seems to be flying by! Please keep the children motivated because we still have a lot to cover.

The field trip will be Wednesday June 6th. I am talking with a few bus companies to try and keep the cost down. I would estimate the price of the trip to be about $30.00 or so. The children will have to pack their own lunches to bring. It was more expensive if we wanted to eat in the cafeteria at the Science Center. I will send out another sheet for parents to chaperone because some of you may not be able to because of the change of the date.

The students should be researching their college for the March Madness project. They have all received a rubric. I am allowing  the children to work with one other student if  they would like to. The project is due Monday May 7th for 6W, and May 14th for 6E.        

I know it has been a long year for ALL of us. I have been stressing with the children that we only have a few more months together and we all need to continue to get along. Please talk with your child about being kind with the other children. Feelings in both 6th grades have been getting hurt a lot lately and I do not like to see anyone upset. : )

Many of us in 6W have been getting sick.  If you can please send in hand sanitizer and tissues with your child so that we can all stay healthy!

This is a great website for students to use. Even though it is for a 5th grade level some of the skills are still used in 6th grade.
